Hotels in Primm, NV. Buffalo Bill's is a hotel and casino located near the California-Nevada state line. It opened in 1994 and sits about 45 miles south of Las Vegas, The hotels in the area were built by the Primm family. Sections of their properties include Whiskey Pete's and the Primadonna Hotel. This popular hotel-casino is part of the Primm Valley Resort chain along the California-Nevada state line. In addition to top casino facilities, affordable hotel accommodation, and endless entertainment opportunities, it’s home to a couple of custom roller-coaster rides and a novelty, buffalo-shaped outdoor pool. Buffalo Bills Resort & Casino welcomes two pets up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night. Both dogs and cats are accepted, but pets must be crated if left in rooms unattended. The hotel has a grassy area for pet relief. Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes are not permitted. Buffalo Bill’s Casino features 39 table games, live poker, and 1,723 slot machines. Several restaurants, including Miss Ashley's Boarding House Buffet and Guillermo's Cantina & Cocina, are located on site. Each room at Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino includes cable TV and a seating area.
Desperado was a hypercoaster that was located in Primm, Nevada, United States at the Buffalo Bill's Hotel and Casino, a part of the Primm Valley Resorts complex. As of February 2020, Desperado is closed with no plans of operating in the future.[2]
According to the Roller Coaster DataBase, Desperado was one of the tallest roller coasters in the world when it opened. It features a 225-foot (69 m) drop at an angle of 60 degrees, a 209-foot (64 m) lift hill, and a maximum speed of 80 mph (130 km/h). Riders also experience up to 4 g's during the ride which lasts two minutes and forty-three seconds.[3] A portion of the ride runs through the interior of the casino. The coaster was listed by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's tallest roller coaster in 1996.[4] The ride was provided by Arrow Dynamics and fabricated by Intermountain Lift, Inc.[5]

Looking to attract people driving by on adjacent Interstate 15 to his new casino, Buffalo Bill's, which opened on May 14, 1994, Gary Primm contracted Arrow Dynamics to build a highly visible roller coaster. The roller coaster opened to the public on August 11, 1994, as one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world. The ride's 209-foot-tall (64 m) lift hill was the tallest in the United States, second behind only the Pepsi Max Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England that opened the same year. Its drop length of 225 feet (69 m) and top speed of 80 mph (130 km/h) were tied in the country with Kennywood's Steel Phantom, which also featured a 225-foot (69 m) drop and top speed of 80 mph (130 km/h). The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Desperado in its 1996 publication as the tallest roller coaster in the world.[4]
For his Top Secret special that first aired on February 24, 1999, magician Lance Burton staged a death-defying escape in a stunt where he was tied to the roller coaster's track and had to break out of handcuffs in order to escape.[6]

Primm's Largest Hotel/Casino
Buffalo Bill's Resort and Casino is just off Interstate 15 northbound, exit 1 in Primm. It has 1,242 guest rooms and suites and is the largest hotel/casino property in Primm. Buffalo Bill's advertises that it combines Old West style with New West fun. It is a great place to get away and play.
Guests have the choice of thee room types: Deluxe, Suites, and Jacuzzi Suites. Rooms come with ironing boards, blow dryers, available in–room movies, and available high speed and wireless Internet.
Deluxe rooms are about 335 square feet and can be requested either with a king bed or two queen beds. Suite rooms have considerably more space than deluxe rooms.
California Nevada Stateline Casinos
For the best experience, visitors can stay in a luxurious Jacuzzi Suite Room. Deluxe room rates are typically about $25 on weekdays and $55 on weekends, depending on the season. Buffalo Bill's is rated as a two star hotel.
AN ENTERNTAINMENT CENTER
Buffalo Bill's has a 46,000 square foot casino with over 1,700 slot machines, nearly 40 table games, a poker room, and a race and sports book. The property also has great restaurants including Tony Roma's, Miss Ashley's Boarding House Buffet, Wagonmaster Coffee Shops, a Food Court, and several other dining options. There are also several bars, including the Tree Bar.
Whiskey Pete's Hotel And Casino
Buffalo Bill's has a large buffalo shaped swimming pool for guests. It is also home to a 6,500 seat Star of the Desert Arena, which is designed for concerts and also hosts other major events such as boxing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and rodeos.
